The Morning Room at Saltram
In a world where everything changes, you might be interested to know that apparently, most of the paintings in this room have hung in the same positions since 1819 (the late regency period).
With its walls hung with red Genoan velvet and decorated with old masters of all shapes and sizes, the Morning Room at Saltram would the perfect place to sit and plan the week ahead.
Above the mantlepiece hangs one of the many Reynold portraits at Saltram, that of John Parker, later 1st Earl of Morley (1772-1840), and his Sister Theresa Parker, later the Hon. Mrs George Villiers (1775-1856), as children.
