The Collecting Bug: Why we can’t stop collecting

It can happen to anyone…

One moment your shelves at home are as neat and tidy as a Scandinavian home store.

Then you see something…it’s love at first sight. Heart beating fast, you buy it and take it home. But that’s just the beginning..

Because one is NOT enough. You start looking for more and suddenly they turn up at auction, on eBay, marketplace, local markets. You bid for, offer and buy the best examples you can find.

Your collection grows and takes over. It defines your taste, becomes instinctive and addictive. You are now a curator, an expert in your field. You could write a book on the subject!

As these photos prove, we are definitely guilty of falling prey to the Collecting Bug and its catching!

Whatever YOU collect, whether it be corkscrews, thimbles, portrait miniatures, Staffordshire figures tea caddies, or something else, remember you are NOT alone

Have fun!
